The Delta Girl of the Year Award is presented to a Delta senior whom most exemplifies the true spirit of Delta and upholds the values of the sorority. In addition, she must be in good academic standing and regularly attend Delta meetings and support Delta events.
The active circle voted for the senior whom they feel demonstrates these qualities and represents the best of Delta. This Delta is a Liberal Studies and History Major with an emphasis on African American history. She has served as a volunteer for Jasper’s Corner, substitutes for various school districts and has been a Teacher’s Assistant since her freshman year. In Delta she has served as Alto Song Chair and New Member Educator.
One of her Delta sisters stated, “I’m so proud of who you are and what you’re going to become. I’m going to miss hanging out with you and just talking, all the little things we do together mean so much to me. You have truly made an impact on my life and I feel so honored to be your little.

(Maranda will receive a check from our Alumni Executive Council, a specially engraved charm, a certificate and her name will be engraved on a perpetual plaque that hangs in the Delta House.)
