Congratulations to Nina Davis, our recipient of the 2023 Lois Hentschke Scholton Leadership Award!

Lois was known for her leadership in Delta, at the University of Redlands and in her community. She passed away in 1999, and each year we recognize her strong leadership by awarding a Delta senior with the Lois Hentschke Scholton Leadership Award.

Nina’s involvements at the University included playing on the Lacrosse team for four years, serving as the Lacrosse team captain and being on the DEI committee her senior year, participating as a Maroon and Grey Ambassador for three years and serving as vice president and social media chair her senior year, and she was a member of Psi Chi (an international honorary society in Psychology) for three years. She participated in the Salzburg Study Away program, was a student representative for Kiwanis and was a peer advisor for first year students. In addition, she has been on the Dean’s List all four years.

Honors include SCIAC All-Academic Team (recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade pint average of 3.40 or higher) all four years, being designated as a Scholar Athlete and was a Division III NCAA Four-Year Varsity Letter Recipient.

As a Delta she has held the positions of Public Relations Chair, Flair Chair, New Member Educator (Mom), Academic Chair and Social Chair.

She hails from Bainbridge Island, WA, received her B.A. in Psychology, and her after graduation plans include attending graduate school to earn her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.
