Congratulations to Brooke-Lynn Thomas, our recipient of the 2023 Barbie Powers Allen Enthusiasm Award!
This award honors the enthusiastic lavender lady, Barbie Powers Allen. For decades, she was THE most spirited, loyal, and hard-working Delta. Barbie currently lives in Oregon and each year we recognize her unbounded enthusiasm by awarding a Delta senior with the Barbie Powers Allen Enthusiasm award.
The Initiated Members (actives) voted this Delta as the senior whom they felt was the most enthusiastic, spirited and loyal Delta.
Brooke-Lynn attended Grand Canyon University her freshman year and was a part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Her involvements at the University included being a Jasper’s Corner Tutor for two years and serving as an intern for the Redlands Unified School District working with students in need.
She rushed Delta online in the spring of her sophomore year and has held the positions of Rush Chair, Abroad Chair, Social Chair, SOM (Sorority’s Own Mom), President, Social Chair Assistant and Public Relations Assistant.
Brooke-Lynn hails from Rancho Cucamonga, CA, received her B.A. in Psychology with minors in English Literature and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her after graduation plans include working and attending graduate school to earn her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Brooke-Lynn received a certificate and a monetary award and her name will be engraved on a perpetual plaque that will hang in the Delta House.
